Description:

Our team of travel trainers offer individual travel training to students with disabilities aged 11-25 years. We teach our students to travel independently from home to school or college and back. To be eligible for the service students must live in the borough of Ealing.

We work most frequently into special schools but are available to work into mainstream schools and colleges. We work with each student for as long as is necessary for them to be able to undertake their journey alone. Our experience indicates that placements can take anything from 6weeks to 18months. As well as learning their route we teach students how to cope if things go wrong on their journey and raise students' community and stranger awareness. We work closely with parents or carers and schools/colleges throughout the training, ensuring everyone is informed, consulted and comfortable with what is happening.

We continue to be involved with our students when they are travelling independently, offering top up training and support if any problems arise.

You can download a referral form or contact us for more information.
