Look over in the top right corner, where the News used to be and you will see forthcoming items on our NEW events calendar. Click on any item to find out more and you'll be taken to our Events page. There you will be able to filter events depending on which category you're interested in and find out what's in store. You'll also find a month by month calendar with days that have events on hi-lighted in bright green. Have a good look around and let me know how you get on.
Make sure you let me know if you're running an event to let me know and I can include it on the calendar. This is so exciting!!! We've been waiting for something like this for years.
We've been busy
A lot of meetings as part of the Aiming High programme. We should be able to let you know of some exciting developments soon. I went over to Mandeville School for a Parents Coffee Morning the other day and heard an appalling story of a mother and her two children, one just a baby in a buggy and the other in Year 1 at Mandeville being subjected to horrific verbal abuse by a bus driver, who said that children - like that (ie with autism) weren't allowed on buses. Makes my French lifeguard look positively saintly! We're waiting to find out more as an official complaint have been made.
Something to raise the spirits
Just to remind ourselves that it's not all bad, here is a lovely song performed by Chris and Barnaby Beck. Watch and enjoy. Apparently Barnaby recently joined Chris on stage at the National Theatre, I'd say watch that space! Embedding has been disabled but click on the screen below and that will take you to YouTube.
Bet that had you all singing along, we've certainly been humming, warbling and so on since watching it at home.
