Transition

At long last we're proud to announce the introduction of our new section on Transition. Look over to your left and you will see the a new link for 'transition', just above 'Getting Around' and below 'Social Services'. You can use this link to take you straight there. Please have a good look around and let me know what you think. A lot of work has gone into this and thanks should go out to Gabriel Jones and Jen Moseley for their invaluable input.

As you might be aware the transition process is still evolving and there continue to be large gaps between what is considered to be best practice and what actually happens. We hope to keep you up to date with this process and would encourage everyone involved to get involved. Please let me know of your own experiences and thoughts on this process.

Special Yoga Centre

I came across this whilst wearing another 'hat'. I have several!

You can find out a lot more by visiting their Special Yoga website.

Google Translation

Google have a beta translation facility which will enable visitors to the site to view the whole site in a variety of different languages. Choose your language using the little gadget below and the site will appear in the language you have selected. The graphic at the top of the page might break up a bit but that's because we're still experimenting, so don't worry about that!

Please can you ask everyone you know who speaks any of the languages on offer to have a look and feed back to me. There are various phrases that are awkward in translation, however you can contribute by making suggestions of your own. Google won't implement these straight away but will use them to fine tune their translation engine.

Whilst browsing if you hover the cursor over any word it will show the original text in English.

ESCAN parent perspective questionnaire

Have you completed it yet? You can download a copy right here. Make sure your voice is heard, this gives you the opportunity to let the council know how you're doing with their services.

Remember if you read something here a while ago and want to find it again you can visit the newsletter page and have a browse through the old editorials. You will find occasional references to Luke throughout my text, you can find out more about us in the Glossary.

You can, as always, write to me using the 'Contact Us' link at the top of this page.

Best regards,

Nick Radclyffe
