15. Free guide for parents of children with Cerebral Palsy
Scope Response has launched a new free guide for parents of children with cerebral palsy containing a wealth of practical information and advice as well as details on where to find support.

Susan Evans, whose three-year-old son Sonny has cerebral palsy, said ”Having all this information in one place and set out in a clear way is really helpful. This is a really useful guide and I like the fact that is based on the experiences of other parents.”

19. The Children's Disability Register - Application Form
The Children’s Disability Register is a list of children with disabilities/special needs, and their carers/parents living in Ealing. Anyone under 18 who is an Ealing resident with a disability/additional need is eligible to join the Register. Please download an application Form (using the link above) and complete it. You will find details as where to send it at the end of the form. The Register is held on computer, in line with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998. The register helps to plan services for children with additional needs.

23. Summer with IMPACT

The IMPACT Theatre Company has been enabling and empowering Adults with a learning disability though the performing and creative arts since 1999. We are now pleased to be able offer performing and creative arts opportunities for children with learning disabilities age 5-19 years.

Participants will work alongside performers with learning disabilities as well as other artists, performers and qualified teachers in a high quality service with the focus on learning, enabling, expression and fun!

The courses will be run on Saturdays during July and August, with 1/2 day and full day sessions available. Places are limited so you should call as soon as you can to reserve your place.

37. EDCM Family Fun Day - 17th May 2008 - Flier
A flier with details of the forthcoming EDCM "Growing Up" Family Fun Day! Sounds complicated but this is following in the footsteps of last year's event which was so successful. The theme this year is all about "Growing Up" and everything that entails for our children and their transition into Adult Services. 38. Mencap March Newsletter
A lot of useful information here. For those of you whom Bebo means something, make sure you have a look at the article on joining Mencap in this exciting on-line community. Our daughter is on there all the time, well as soon as our backs are turned anyway! Also there's news of a pilot News programme created by and for people with learning difficulties and disabilities. I haven't managed to watch it yet as there seems to be a problem with the link, but I have let them know.

Newsletter from The Transition Information Network (TIN) which is an alliance of organisations and individuals who come together with a common aim: to improve the experience of disabled young people's transition to adulthood. TIN is a source of information and good practice for disabled young people, families and professionals. They provide this information through their website, magazine, e-newsletter and seminars. There are links to all of these within the newsletter.

69. Listening to Families of Children with Disabilities and Special Educational Needs - a Questionnaire
The Daycare Trust is the national childcare charity, campaigning for quality, accessible, affordable childcare for all who need it. Our new project, Listening to Families of Children with Disabilities and Special Educational Needs, aims to find out more about families' experiences of, views on and needs for childcare today. All you have to do is to complete the questionnaire and send it Freepost to the address provided. All entries received before December 29th will be entered in a prize draw for £20 in vouchers.The London Development Agency (LDA) have funded us to specifically target London based families of Children with Disabilities and Special Educational Needs. All findings will be fed directly back to them and the Department for Education and Skills.
