| You know your child best; you may identify a difficulty in learning
or development long before your child starts school. This may be something
like a delay in feeding, talking, sitting up, walking or behaviour
such as big temper tantrums.
If you have any concerns, however small, do not put off seeking
advice and guidance. It is a well known fact that the earlier needs
are recognised and programmes are put in place to help the child
the more likely the child is to reach their full potential.
Your first point of contact may be your GP or your Health Visitor.
They can refer you to the many specialist services in Ealing for
Children with Disabilities. However, if they do not agree with your
concerns don’t be afraid to ask for another opinion. Contact your local Specialist Health Visitor.
Here are some of the services available which you may want to explore
for help with your pre-school child
Portage
